a first step towards security, stability and self worth

After many, many years FAITH Christian Group are thrilled to have been able to start purchasing houses for the homeless.

Stepping Stone was first conceived of many years ago as a 24 hour shelter for the homeless.

The intention was to create an emergency access roof over people's heads and a place where various professionals could come and assist people to move on off the streets into more permanent solutions.

We did run one "Winter Watch" night shelter in 2003, but since then local authority objections have prevented us from setting up any sort of more permanent facility. So we have looked elsewhere for solutions.

We do now have the first of what we hope will be a number of houses (Stepping Stones) thanks to funding from Green Pastures. (Click on link logo below or Watch video)

FAITH will take the role of main tenant of each house and provide support and supervision of tenants,

Rent will be covered by Housing Benefits, however there are overheads which we will be looking to fund from elsewhere.
